Next Race – Palatine Turkey Trot 5 mile race in Palatine, Illinois on Thursday, November 25, 2010
Thursday, November 11, 2010 - Very early day today. Up at 5:30 am to finish up some work, pack up the car and get over to Harper College to get on the bus for Nationals. So, today I was scheduled to run 6 miles @ 6:30 pace. Felt a little stiff this morning from the weight lifting session yesterday. Did two sets of squats and I set of leg press with weight that I haven't done in months, so yeah I was felling pretty tight. It took a little while for my legs to loosen up, but once they did I really felt good. I got the runner's high earlier than I usually do which was awesome! I think when I am forced to run at a faster pace from the get go that's what triggers it.
I was in a bit of rush this morning so I wasn't able to stretch like I usually do. I am writing this post about 6 hours into our trip just East of Cleveland, Ohio. We are scheduled to get into New York City at about Midnight EST so we have plenty more movie watching to do. Talk to you tomorrow.
