Sunday, December 26, 2010 - 14 mile long run @ 6:15 mile pace (1:28:00).  I ran 8 miles outside and the final 6 inside on the treadmill.  It was difficult to run very fast consistently outside as the LSD path and sidewalks around downtown Chicago were a mix of clear, 1 inch of snow and slush.  My average mile pace for the first 8 miles was 6:25-6:40.  When I got on the treadmill I ran faster than 6:15 pace, my total time was 36:58 (6:10 mile pace).  I love the long run and although you're tired  towards the end of the run you know you are getting better as a runner.  Off to the Bears vs Jets Game.  Go Bears!

Monday, December 27, 2010 -

AM - 7 miles @ 6:25 mile pace (45:00).  It was a nice sunny day in Chicago so I decided to run this outside.  I knew the LSD Path would be clear in spots and not so much in others.  I was right and I had about 0.75 miles where I could not run very fast at all, like 7:00+ pace.  I ran 48:30 total for the run.  I felt good though from the weekend's workouts and look to run faster this afternoon.

PM - 3 miles @ 6:20 mile pace (19:00).  I did this on the treadmill to make sure I hit the pace.  I ran 18:40 which is 6:13.5 mile pace.  I felt good, got a good stretch and abs in.  I am starting up my Alto-Lab sessions again.  This is the first of 9 straight days of doing this to increase my oxygen consumption.
